How do I properly care for the product?

Properly maintained, the awning will stay waterproof for many seasons. The most important point: never pack it away damp.

  • Always pack dry: Let the awning dry completely before storing. Packing it damp causes mold and damages the coating.
  • Clean only with water: Wash off dirt with clear water, a soft sponge, and mild detergent if needed. No washing machine, no harsh chemicals, no fabric softener.
  • Care for zippers: Rinse sand and dirt from the zippers to keep them running smoothly and prevent tearing.
  • Check poles and pegs: Inspect fiberglass poles for cracks after each setup, keep pegs straight, and store everything clean and dry.
  • Re-impregnate if needed: If water no longer beads off, treat the dry outer material with a waterproofing spray for polyester tents to maintain water resistance.
  • Store dry and cool: After cleaning, keep the awning in its bag in a dry place; avoid leaving it in direct sunlight for extended periods.
