How do I properly care for the product?

To keep your tunnel tent waterproof for many seasons, one thing is especially important: store it dry.

  • Always pack dry: Let the tent and poles dry completely before storing. Storing damp causes mold, which permanently damages the fabric and coating.
  • Clean gently: Use only clear water and a soft brush or cloth. No harsh cleaners or washing machines, as they damage the waterproof coating.
  • Reapply waterproofing if needed: If water no longer beads up but forms a film, treat with a waterproofing spray for polyester. Clean and dry the tent first, spray evenly, and let it dry for several hours.
  • Keep zippers clean: Tap or brush sand and dust out of the zippers to keep them running smoothly and prevent tearing.
  • Protect fiberglass poles: Store bundled in the carry bag to prevent splintering. When setting up, insert segments into each other instead of pulling them through individually to protect the internal elastic.
  • Check pegs and seams: Quickly inspect before each trip, straighten or replace bent pegs.
